Mindful Mandala Workshop
Mandala is a Sanskrit word that loosely translates to mean “circle” or “centre” and is a spiritual symbol in Buddhism and Hinduism believed to represent the Universe.
It is formed by drawing and repeating shapes. This method of drawing helps to calm a busy mind, improves overall well-being and is often used as a tool for meditation.
During this two hour workshop, you will practice drawing Mandala shapes and create your very own Mandala to take home framed.
An engaging, relaxing, self-care activity to enjoy solo or with friends.
No previous art experience necessary. All materials and frame provided. Adults only.

Engaging in creating art has been proven to improve overall well-being, confidence and focus.
When you are immersed in creating something, your mind is focused on the task at hand, therefore any thoughts (wanted or unwanted) are temporarily diminished. This puts you in a more relaxed and calm state which is sometimes described as being in ‘the zone’. Once you’re in ‘the zone’ you will undoubtedly experience a feeling of well-being, which is when your mind is clear of thoughts and you are most connected to your creative self.
Many people have the belief that they ‘can’t do art’ this belief may come from being told that they weren’t good enough at school or thinking that creating art is only for successful artists. Do Your Art workshops are designed to help you to let go of that belief allowing you to gain confidence to create something wonderful and unique to you.
