Why you should Do Your Art…
“Compare it to physical exercise, it feels good when you’ve done it, but the doing of it doesn’t mean you’re trying to be an Olympic athlete…”
Engaging in creating art has been proven to improve overall well-being, confidence and focus. When you are immersed in creating something, your mind is focused on the task at hand, therefore any thoughts (wanted or unwanted) are temporarily diminished. This puts you in a more relaxed and calm state which is sometimes described as being in ‘the zone’. Once you’re in ‘the zone’ you will undoubtedly experience a feeling of well-being, which is when your mind is clear of thoughts and you are most connected to your creative self.
Many people have the belief that they ‘can’t do art’ this belief may come from being told that they weren’t good enough at school or thinking that creating art is only for artists.
Do Your Art workshops are designed to help you to let go of that belief allowing you to gain confidence to exercise, practice and express your individual creativity and improve your overall well-being.
